Conference Recap

We had a busy week at NexusCon and at Broudy Summit, connecting with building owners, controls professionals, and industry leaders to demonstrate how autonomous commissioning is transforming building performance.

From performing 100 functional tests in just 10 minutes at NexusCon to sharing real-world applications of autonomous commissioning at Broudy Summit, both events highlighted the growing role of automation in improving building efficiency and long-term operations.

‍

NexusCon 2026: 100 Functional Tests in 10 Minutes

From October 5–7, PingCx attended NexusCon 2026 in Detroit, joining building owners, technology providers, and industry professionals focused on advancing connected buildings and smarter building operations. Hosted by Nexus Labs, the conference provided an opportunity to explore emerging building technologies, connect with industry peers, and demonstrate how autonomous commissioning can help teams validate building systems faster and more efficiently. One of the highlights was our participation in the NexusCon Demo Stage.

‍

Mike Munson and Saheel Chandrani put PingCx into action, performing 100 VAV functional tests in just 10 minutes.‍

The live demonstration showcased the speed and scale autonomous commissioning can bring to building performance. By automating functional testing, teams can reduce manual processes, increase testing coverage, and gain greater confidence that building systems are operating as intended.

Broudy Summit 2026: Bringing Autonomous Commissioning to the Controls Industry

On October 6–7, PingCx also participated in Broudy Summit, connecting with controls contractors, systems integrators, and service providers to explore how automation can support both project delivery and ongoing building operations. Saheel Chandrani, Chief Experience Officer at Facility Grid and Co-Founder of PingCx, and Mike Thrower, Sales Engineer, represented the team in two presentations. Mike presented during the during Broudy Summit's Shark Tank, where he delivered a rapid-fire presentation introducing PingCx and its approach to autonomous commissioning. The presentation focused on moving beyond manual point-to-point checkout and functional testing, demonstrating how automated verification can help contractors test more equipment, reduce repetitive fieldwork, and expand commissioning into ongoing service opportunities.

‍

Technical Breakout Session

Saheel also led a breakout session focused on verified building performance and the role of autonomous commissioning throughout the building lifecycle. The session explored how PingCx integrates with building automation systems to perform repeatable functional testing, generate actionable reports, and support commissioning across new construction, existing buildings, and ongoing operations. Real-world project examples demonstrated how automated testing can uncover hidden system deficiencies, reduce manual testing time, and provide building owners with the data needed to make informed operational decisions.

‍

Continuing the Conversation on Lifecycle Commissioning‍

Both NexusCon and Broudy Summit reinforced an important shift in the industry: commissioning is evolving beyond a one-time project milestone into a continuous process of testing, verification, and performance improvement. Together, Facility Grid and PingCx are helping connect construction readiness, autonomous validation, and long-term building operations through a unified Lifecycle Commissioning approach.

‍

Thank you to the Nexus Labs and Broudy Precision teams for hosting two great events and providing opportunities to connect with professionals driving the future of building performance.‍
